When it comes to premarital sex, young people need to hear more than “don’t do it.”

I recently heard a story about a man who turned into oncoming traffic and caused a life-threatening head-on collision. Shaken by the ordeal, he stumbled out of his car and said, “I don’t understand! My GPS told me to make that turn!”

Believe it or not, that’s how a lot of young people approach issues surrounding sex these days—they do what the media and mainstream society tells them to do and then are shocked when it brings disappointment, devastation, and long term consequences.

I know firsthand what it’s like to follow the crowd and make poor choices regarding sex.  I also know what it’s like to learn from those mistakes, embrace the biblical plan for sex and relationships, and reap the many benefits of premarital abstinence and a lifetime commitment to purity.

I possess an uncommon zeal and passion to equip parents, empower young people, and inspire individuals of all ages with timely truths surrounding sexual purity. I like to go beyond a trite explanation of why the Bible forbids certain sexual acts and explain just how profound, logical, beneficial, and superior God’s plan is, especially when compared to worldly trends. I welcome those in pursuit of sexual purity, as well as those who are skeptical about the Bible’s standards regarding sex, to hear and respond to what I have to say.
